Last night I finished this book. I just really get into these books by Allison and devour them down pretty quick and best of all no calories. There was some weirdness yesterday with posting over here but I was finally able to post last night. Was it just me? The screen kept freezing up every time I tried to post and I got a message about scripts running slow if I continued which went over my head because I have no idea what that means.
I swear I'm like the dumber version of Temperance Brennan on Bones since I find myself saying that a lot. If you happen to like that show as well as the books you'll probably like Allison's books too. Sure I've read six so far but there seems to be a common theme and recipe to finding the person of your dreams. Add a psycho killer in this case one who enjoyed broadcasting his kills online for a price of course all under the guise of it being role playing and you end up with the person you're meant to be with.
These six books I've read so far since I plan to read more of course because I really enjoy these books. Also if you enjoy Tami Hoag's books this should appeal since it's written in the same vein I guess you would call it since there's a bit of romance tossed in with the hunt for some killer. They don't have to be read in order but they are tied together because characters pop up from other books like the Kincaids who are featured prominently in this book after all it's one of them that gets kidnapped by this psycho. This book just drew me in and I just had to finish reading it. If you like this kind of book you should have no problem getting into it. Some books are harder to get into than others but this wouldn't be one of them hence the quickness on my reading it.
So I finished another book this morning along with Death Note Vol 1 and could this be a creepier picture? No there aren't any clowns in this book. I've really enjoyed books by Allison and urge you to give her a try. They are sort of a series but only in the sense that people from one book pop up in another so they aren't the typical series where you have to read them in order or maybe that's just my way of thinking. As usual there's killing going on since that seems to be the theme of Allison's books at least as far as I know. Of course romance is thrown in too so Tami Hoag fans will likely enjoy these books because it has the same vibe I guess you could say. It doesn't say much for shrinks though. Julia's niece Emily is accused of murdering her stepfather who just so happens to be a big wig judge so she's forced to hire Connor Kincaid the man that she forced to testify five years before in a case against a crooked cop that cost him his career. There's a string of murders that are actually tied together and it's quite the surprise to discover who is behind the killing so go now and get this book because you just might need to start reading if the strike goes on indefinitely and look for fan fiction while you're at it. Ok this has nothing to do with this book but I wanted to mention my new blog where I'm putting my fan fiction. Right now I'm putting stuff that I wrote a while back so it's old but I plan to add new stuff just as soon as I write it. So stay tuned.
Well I almost finished this book last night and got to about ten pages away from the end when I just had to go to sleep. This is a great book that I really enjoyed. I usually don't read mystery books and have only read a few others but I really like Allison Brennan since she writes in a way similar to Tami Hoag where there may be a serial killer in the book but there's also a little romance. Allison's books are connected because characters from other books pop up again and this time it was NIck who finally gets the girl.
This is a pretty disturbing killer because he glues the mouth of his victims shut and it is a bit of a surprise when the killer is revealed because when I think serial killer that guy doesn't really come to mind but I haven't exactly had any contact with serial killers so you probably can't tell because I'm thinking the really smart ones can blend into everyday life and have no one the wiser which is really creepy if you think about it. How well do you know your neighbors? You might want some tissue handy because I got a little misty eyed while reading it.
Yes I'm starting another blog but this one will basically be about the book that I'm currently reading. I have no idea how often I'll come by here but it will be on a fairly regular basis. I am testing the theory of too many blogs causing the head to explode. If I suddenly stop doing my blog at Blogger that will be the answer since I couldn't really type without my head intact. Well I probably could but I wouldn't be able to correct any typos and spell check would be out since I wouldn't be able to see a thing without my head and the oh so vital eyes that really help when I want to see things.
Right now I'm reading a great book by Allison and this would be the third one that I've read by her of late. Whenever I find an author that I enjoy I tend to check out the other books by them although I don't always like every single book written by an author I enjoy but usually I end up liking more than just the one. This is a series of sorts since characters pop up in the books but with a different story. You don't have to read the first two to get into this one but I'm one of those weird ones that prefers to read things in the order they are intended although that isn't always possible.
If you are a fan of Tami Hoag you'll likely end up liking this book because it is written in the same vein. Sure there's a serial on the loose killing children but that doesn't mean that there isn't a little time for some romance. Now I have a little over a hundred pages to go since right now the hunt is on for the killer or whether or not the little girl Nina has really escaped the psycho killer but I'm guessing Olivia and Zack will end up together once the bad guy is caught.
