Yes I'm reading double again but I couldn't resist and hopefully I'll get the next book in this series soon which means I might double read again but now it's back to the book that's already in progress. Since it's a long one at 978 pages I won't be babbling about it for a while since I average at about a hundred pages a day most of the time but it depends on things.
If you haven't read this series you really should especially since there's going to be a TV series and I'm hoping a couple of things first that someone uploads it somewhere that I can watch it since I don't have HBO and that it does better than Blood Ties but the problem with that show I think was the network since Lifetime just didn't seem like the right fit and now I wait to see if it will ever come out on DVD.
Sookie is now dating Quinn who happens to be a weretiger and she's still pissed about the Bill thing so if you don't know what I'm talking about you'll have to read the series because I'm not telling you so you will just have to find out for yourself. It's not like these are long books so if you aren't fond of the longer books this should be perfect for you and since the heat is on curling up with a book and trying to stay cool wouldn't be a bad way to spend the day.
Since Sookie is telepathetic she is going to the summit of vampires because the Queen of Louisiana is on trial for some reason that you should know if you've read the book before so if you haven't shame on you get online and get it from the library or something right now. I have to say that Arlene is a bitch that I'm all too familiar with that friend that is only friends with you when it's convenient for her and when it isn't she's dust so I give the finger to her since she reminds me of someone. So she goes to the summit and of course as usual things don't go smoothly after all this is Sookie I'm talking about so if you're in the mood to find out what her new boyfriend's secret is and what happens at the summit and the trial you'll just have to read the book yourself but I give it a thumbs up and this would be a good way to pass the time until the next book in the Twilight Saga comes out since August is a long way away for someone that loves reading.
Well today wasn't that great of a day either but I did finish this book this morning and once again I really enjoyed reading about Sookie and her crazy life. Her brother is now a shifter and there's a sniper on the loose. Things are never simple for poor Sookie and this time isn't any different since she ends up in quite a mess.
New characters are introduced and Bill is pretty scarce this time around. Oh to be Sookie with all these men that are simply fascinated with her. Of course I give this book a big thumbs up since you're sure to enjoy it if you've enjoyed the others and if you haven't dived into this world yet well shame on you get to the library quick.
So the kooky tale of Sookie continues. I am looking forward to the TV series although I'm not sure where I'll be able to watch it but Surf The Channel might be the answer to that. Sookie has broken up with Bill but that doesn't mean she doesn't end up in the middle of a mess involving the local supes.
Her brother Jason goes missing and some witches come calling and Eric loses his memory and Sookie ends up being his bodyguard so things get very interesting with these two. Will Jason be saved and who in the world has him? You'll just have to read to find out. I was almost done with the book when I went out so I was reading it in the grocery store. Well why not?
I'll be reading the next in the series soon but I'm going back and forth between this one and the one by PC Cast since I have the books out from another library that doesn't like people to renew them more than the one time so I have to read those first otherwise I'd just read the one series book after book but I'm an oddball hence the oddballness.
Yes I finished another book in this series and I'm very much enjoying it. It just sucks that the TV series will be on a station that I don't have but Surf The Channel might be the answer to that and who knows when it'll pop up. I'll most likely have the series finished by then most likely since this is number three which means there are five more I think or there could be another one coming out soon. I'm not sure about that but I'll have them done since I do have the other books just waiting for me to read them.
I'll be back pretty quick since I'm almost done with the latest book that I started reading this morning. I would have come on sooner but honestly I feel like crap right now. Oh enough with the babble after all that's what my regular blog is for since this one is supposed to be for the books I'm reading since I'm curious about the number. It seems to be impressive so far this year but a lot of them have been short so not too impressive.
Sookie's boyfriend Bill goes off on some secret mission and ends up missing. She always seems to end up in some kind of danger which seems to be the norm when your boyfriend is a vampire. A new character is introduced named Alcide who joins the other guys that are captivated by Sookie and her charms. Things don't look good for Sookie's relationship when she gets some disturbing news but as always Sookie is an utter delight so this was another fun read.
Ok I don't think my copy of the book had Sookie flying on a coffin like that but I won't hold that against the book since it's a great book. I am annoyed that the third book isn't ready for me to read since I am still waiting for it from the library so now I have to wonder about what to read next. I am also reading My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding which is an anthology so I'll be reading that story by story instead of from one page to the end.
Things don't run smoothly for Sookie since this book starts with a death. She ends up getting summoned to Eric a vampire that she'd made a deal with so she ends up going to Dallas where trouble abounds and she meets some shapeshifters. Now if you haven't read the first book you have no idea who the shapeshifter in Sooke's life is.
It isn't easy to have a relationship with a vampire and these vampires are different since they're just dead instead of being victims of a virus which happens to be the story that pass around. So what's the difference between undead and just dead. It is cool that this series is going to be turned into a TV show but sadly it's going to be on Showtime which means I won't be able to see it.
I finished it last night. Since I was reading another book at the time it took longer to read it. I'm also reading My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon which I'll likely have done in the next day or so which means I'll be back quick to babble about that.
This is a short book but I'm not a book snob that turns up my nose at a book that's under three hundred pages. Yes it has 262 or something like that. I turned it in at the library but I'm pretty sure that's how long it is. Since I'm a vampire fan I thought I'd give it a go.
The odd thing is I've had books out by her before but never got around to reading any of them and since this is a series I finally put holds on all of them so I could just read them starting with the first. I would give this book a big thumbs up since I really enjoyed it.
Sookie is a waitress but she isn't just a regular girl that lives in a small town since she can read thoughts which she refers to as her disability. The vampires are different in these books because they came out of the coffin and blame their being vampires on a virus. So she's excited when Bill walks into the place where she works.
She gets quite a surprise when she finds out that she can't read his thoughts. That would suck to be able to read peoples thoughts all the time. Think Earshot for Buffy fans out there. Sure it might sound good but ultimately it would drive you nuts unless it came with an on/off switch. It doesn't help that people are dying in this small town and it looks like a vampire could be the killer. So if this sounds good to you head on over to the library which is where the books live if you didn't know and check it out.
